blockchain non-profit

Member of the Board of LëtzBlock

LëtzBlock is a non-profit association with the mission to give a voice to blockchain in Luxembourg by connecting, educating, informing, and inspiring through events, working groups, advocacy and more.

I was elected to the Board for the depth of commercial and technical experience in the Blockchain space, and in additional to governance and strategic contribution I used my time to help organise and participate in events and webinars. These covered a variety of topics including compliance, bitcoin education, and Decentralised Finance (DeFi). I also delivered a new website.

Highlights

  • Put on several sell-out events, notably including an AML event which gathered financial agency representatives from TracFin (France), CRF (Luxembourg) and FinCen (US).

  • Educated new entrants to the blockchain space, through MeetUps and training gatherings covering topics like ‘Bitcoin AMA’, ‘Intro to the Lightning Network’ and ‘Intro to DeFi’.

  • Contributed to a working group paper for the Association of Luxembourg Compliance Officers on Blockchain and Crypto-Assets

  • Contributed strategic input to several high-level initiatives including a Blockchain Lab, blockchain pilot, membership strategy, training programmes, and more.

Our events frequently attracted good sponsors and many attendees.
